Technology Professional Development Coordinator, Startup Incubator Mentor
Robin Pence is a can-do teacher and teacher trainer, active both in teaching technology and in coaching fellow K12 educators to employ educational technology and STEM in their instruction. As an Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Innovator, she has initiated and implemented numerous tech initiatives at AEC, elevating staff professional development schoolwide. Ms. Pence holds a BS in education and is completing her MS in educational technology. She is an active presenter at tech and maker conferences, including ISTE, Google (England), CSTA, and the National Forum for the Application of Artificial Intelligence (China).

Tobin Herringshaw
Digital Media Studio Coordinator, Startup Incubator Mentor
Tobin Herringshaw is a teacher, photographer and filmmaker who teaches cutting-edge digital media including AR and VR. An Adobe Education Leader and Adobe Trainer, he is skilled at developing integrated curriculum spanning arts and technology, presenting at ISTE, Adobe, and AP conferences on his instructional methods. Mr. Herringshaw earned his BA in English and his MS in Educational Media. His work is featured in the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the American Heart Association, and his short film, After, won best short in the Nevada Film Festival. Herringshaw recently mentored student Tal Derei, in Tal's production of the Halt the Salt documentary which won the 2018 Dam Short Film Festival.

Rachel Ziter is a technology teacher focusing on instructing coding, 3D design and printing, robotics, systems thinking, and engineering design to youth. She is a founding teacher for Dawson College Bound and AEC's new technology vision, and has published five books on technology topics for Capstone Publishing. Ms. Ziter holds a BS in education and lower school teaching certification, as well as advanced coursework in CS education and fablab professional development (at NuVu). She is a frequent conference speaker, and has recently presented at NSSTA and NCTM, as well as traveled to Israel to conduct collaborative training with the Reali schools.

Elijah Ratner is an IT specialist working at AEC, assisting our technology and facilities divisions with hardware, software, and network installation and maintenance. He was a founding teacher for Dawson College Bound and has taught 3D animation and mobile app development for Spark Skill, our summer camp provider. A 2018 graduate with a BS in Computer Science, Mr. Ratner mentors our Startup Incubator students working on app dev, and assists in coaching our inaugural robotics team as they work on building inMoov and Solar Rollers projects. He is highly skilled at solving the Rubik's cube, and possesses a collection of hundreds of "cube" variations.
