The Startup Incubator at the Adelson Educational Campus in Las Vegas, Nevada is a 5000 square feet workshop for innovation and entrepreneurship. During the school year, Upper School students work in this start-of-the-art facility to design and prototype digital and physical products to solve problems, entertain, or communicate. During the summer, Adelson and Spark Skill host summer camps, opening the facility to students of all ages and instructing courses in app development, animation, E-textiles, UAVs and other current technology topics.
The Incubator offers a Coding Lab, Digital Media Studio, and expansive Fab Lab and companion Heavy Duty Lab. The facility was completed in September 2016 as part of a schoolwide Technology Innovations Initiative including a one-to-world paradigm and extensive teacher professional development. Through facilities, instruction, collaboration, mentorship and partnership, Adelson students have all the tools they need to engage in entrepreneurial ventures, developing lean startups, to bring their original works to market. |
